Frequently asked questions
How does it work?
You search for gear by location and dates, you book online (phone verification, licence photo, card saved), you pick up at the agreed point and you pay at pickup. When the gear comes back in good condition, your deposit is released.
When am I charged?
Nothing is charged at booking: your card is only saved securely. The rental payment is taken at pickup, once your request is approved by the owner.
How does the security deposit work?
The amount varies by gear (starting at 250,00 $). It's a pre-authorization on your card at pickup: you're not actually charged. When the gear comes back in good condition, the authorization is released. In case of damage or loss, the deposit may be kept in whole or in part.
Is my information protected?
Yes. Payments go through Stripe (we never store your card), your identity is verified, and your data is handled in compliance with Law 25. The licence photo is deleted once the rental is over.
Can I extend my rental?
Subject to availability. Contact us as early as possible and we'll see what we can do.
